"My Day as a Minnesota Wild Photographer"

During the 2006-2007 Minnesota Wild season I was fortunate enough to work as a Minnesota Wild Photographer for the final "shirt off our backs" game. As many Wild fans know this game has become a fan favorite since the Wild's inception since it is the last regular season game, and also a game where Minnesota Wild fans have the chance to win the players game worn/used jerseys "off the backs" of the players that donned the jerseys during this game. Equipped with my Larry Olimb Minnesota Moose hockey jersey on, and a Nikon D80, I was granted a working photographer pass from the Wild that allowed me total access throughout the X-cel energy center including press box access, photographer corner "shooting areas", and finally locker-room with post game media coverage, and on-ice celebrations. I had a blast as a NHL/Wild photographer for the day, and was able to capture some great shots as a "rookie photographer". Needless to say I didn't see much of this game as I was on a mission to take as many photos as I could throughout the building. All of the game worn X-cel high school jersey photos shown on the VMH.com X-cel jerseys page were taken during this game as well.

Thanks again to Roger Godin from the Wild for granting me this access. (Click on each to see larger photo)

See ya at the Rink...
