IRA Civic Center

The IRA Civic Center located at Highway 38 and 14th St. NW 55744 in Grand Rapids Minnesota houses 2 sheets of ice within the arena for the various Grand Rapids boys and girls youth hockey programs. It is also the home of the former "Indians" now the Thunderhawks High School hockey teams that have a rich hockey tradition, and history of producing some of the best high school hockey players the state has seen within the "State-of-Hockey". Grand Rapids having three state Championships, and eleven other appearances for a total of fourteen trips to St. Paul, the various banners hang from the rafters proudly in the IRA. There is also numerous photos of all the former D1 and NHL players in the concourse to prove that Grand Rapids hockey is a history laden program, that even today is a team to be beckoned with.
